Curator's Note:
A striking late-1980s coat by Maria Testa, crafted from ivory 100% silk with a subtly slubbed texture and soft natural lustre. Inspired by classic military outerwear, the long, relaxed silhouette is defined by sculptural curved storm panels, channel-stitched detailing, epaulettes and crest-embossed gold-tone buttons.
The convertible collar can be worn open as a broad trench-style lapel or fastened high at the neck, while a self-fabric belt draws the fluid silhouette into the waist.
