Curator's Note:
Archival dress from legendary British designer Jean Muir, crafted in England from her signature matte viscose jersey. The fluid column silhouette is shaped through elongated vertical panel construction before falling into a low dropped waist with precisely engineered godet inserts, creating beautiful weight and movement through the skirt.
Designed with narrow shoulder straps and a softly rounded neckline with a subtle centre-front point, the gown exemplifies Muir's mastery of jersey tailoring — understated, beautifully constructed and exceptionally fluid.
