A documented piece from Donna Karan’s Resort 1992 collection, presented at her New York showroom. Cut in a warm neutral linen and silk blend, the dress combines the ease and sensuality characteristic of Karan’s early 1990s work with the structure of traditional tailoring.

Designed with a long, sweeping skirt and softly bloused bodice, it features sharply cut notched lapels and an elasticated waist that draws the generous proportions into the body. The wrap-effect front fastens discreetly at the waist, allowing the dress to retain an almost coat-like simplicity. The subtle lustre and irregular texture of the linen-silk cloth give the otherwise restrained design considerable depth.
